Do you know what a “stop trick” is? A boy puts on a hat, the cameraman pauses the shot, the boy takes off the hat, and the cameraman resumes shooting. The effect is complete! In the final video, we see the boy putting on the hat and it instantly disappearing. The stop trick is not only one of the earliest film effects in history but also the first filmmaking technique that I fell in love with as an 11-year-old boy. Since then, I’ve been fully dedicated to shooting and editing. My name is Filip, and I’ve loved videography since I was 11 years old (if we count mobile stop tricks).
I especially enjoy filming wedding movies. They can be one hundred percent an art form just like anything else. After all, a wedding day is so full of real emotions that a good filmmaker can easily turn it into a powerful and genuine story.
I indulge in a documentary style that minimally interferes with the wedding day. The most beautiful wedding films are those that capture the day exactly as it unfolds. I don’t insist on any traditions that are “supposed” to be in a wedding video. It’s the film’s authenticity, humanity, rawness, and even imperfections that attract me.
I love capturing real moments and building them in the editing process. As a graduate in film editing from VŠMU, I look at the outcome with a cinematic eye. The story and emotions of the wedding day thus have the best presentation.
A key aspect of my work is a personal approach. Therefore, if we agree to collaborate, I would be very happy to get to know you beforehand. After all, we must feel comfortable with each other first and foremost.
If you’re on a same page with me, then let’s definitely give it a shot here. I believe it will be awesome!
I’m looking forward to working together!
Filip
